The most convenient point of entry

The other major port of entry,
Santo Domingo is across the island
on the south shore and would involve
about a four hour ride to get to
the north coast. Puerto Plata is
serviced by several airlines.
Regular service is available from
several U.S., Puerto Rico and
Canadian cities as well as
several European countries. On
arrival at Puerto Plata airport
visitors will clear immigration,
claim luggage, clear customs and
exit the terminal. At the exit
from customs is the taxi and hotel
shuttle area. The representative

holding a sign and will be
